What is hyaluronic acid?

Hyaluronic acid is produced naturally by the body. Its composition attracts water molecules, and it is a natural component of the skin. Collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid form the substratum which supports skin tissue and lends it its viscosity, hydration, lubrication, and structural properties. Hyaluronic acid is naturally present in all living tissue.

How does hyaluronic acid work?

Once injected into the dermis, it stimulates cell activity, thus improving regeneration and skin hydration.

Hyaluronic acid has multiple mechanisms of action:

  • -Stimulation of cellular growth
  • -Active dermal redensification
  • -Protection against UVA and UVB radiation
  • -Viscoelastic regeneration
  • -Activation of the formation of new blood vessels
  • Ÿ-Active hydration (multiplying water volume by up to 30x)
  • -Progressive biological repair of cutaneous depressions (treatment of wrinkles)

Between three and five sessions are usually are carried out, one every three to four weeks, for best results, according to the patient's stage of aging.
