What does carboxytherapy consist of to combat facial flaccidity?

Carboxytherapy consists of the intradermal injection of carbon dioxide (CO2) into the tissues. The body naturally produces CO2 at a rate of about 200 ml per second, this quantity can be multiplied by 10 during exercise.

Benefits of carboxytherapy against facial flaccidity

It has multiple properties: it improves microcirculation, increases local metabolism and has a “fat-burning” action on fatty tissue.

How does carboxytherapy work?

The decisive action to combat skin flaccidity is given by the Bohr effect which translates into a transfer of oxygen to the tissue that we treat with this gas. This increase in oxygenation favours the formation and replacement of collagen and elastin, providing tension to the dermis.
