Phase: 2-3

INGREDIENTS:

• Jumbo shrimps or prawns

• 3 cloves of garlic

• Fresh parsley

• 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil

• Salt

It doesn't have to be Christmas to eat delicious jumbo prawns. One of those recipes that we overlook when we are on a diet. So easy to prepare that they make themselves, just make sure they are the same size or as similar as possible so that they cook equally. We have chosen jumbo shrimp because we find them tastier, but obviously if you prefer prawns the recipe works just the same ;).

Jumbo shrimp has a high nutritional value and a low fat content. It provides proteins of high biological value, besides being a source of iron, magnesium, phosphorus, iodine and selenium. As for vitamins, it is worth mentioning its vitamin B12 content. It is a food suitable for all diets, except for people with high cholesterol and uric acid problems or who need to control sodium.

How to cook jumbo shrimp in the oven.

1. If the jumbo shrimp is frozen, it must be allowed to thaw completely before baking. To do this, take it out of the freezer and let it thaw slowly in the refrigerator.

2. First remove the whiskers from the jumbo shrimp. Then place them in a baking dish well distributed and without crowding them.

3 Preheat the oven to 190ºC, with heat up and down.

4 Prepare the sauce, chop the garlic and parsley, and add the virgin olive oil and salt to taste.

5 Brush the prawns with the sauce and bake for 15 minutes or so, depending on their size (if they are very large, let them bake for a few more minutes). It is not necessary to turn them over because they are done immediately.

6 Place the prawns on a plate, season with the rest of the sauce and serve hot.

We also love them grilled, but if it is outdoors, at home it fills with smoke and leaves a lot of smell. In addition, grilled, another drawback is that the first ones you put aside stay cold while you finish making the rest.

As you can see, dieting to lose weight is not incompatible with eating well. It is a matter of changing the chip, learning to combine healthy ingredients and consuming them in the right proportion. It seems easy, but, in Clínica Áureo, we know that a good diet is something more and we want to help you.
